Presenter Bio
Richard has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years working primarily in critical care, emergency room, flight nursing and most recently, in the prevention of sudden death in the young. His two nursing passions are improving out of hospital cardiac arrest survival rates and helping nurses with substance use disorder. He served as President of the Georgia Nurses Association from 2018-2021 and is currently the Executive Director of the Georgia Nurses Association Peer Assistance Program. He uses his personal experience with substance use disorder to help other nurses on their journey to recovery.
